It's been a while since I've purchased any new photo toys. But, a few days ago, I pulled the trigger on ordering a strobe. I've wanted one for a few years now, particularly for daytime shoots. I had been using Canon Speedlites before, and overall they worked ok. But, pocket wizards are annoying and the flashes just didn't do enough for day time shoots. Anyway, here's the new beast. Psyched to take it out for some night time pow tomorrow assuming the weather permits.

It's been a weird winter, one that again has thus far made me question my work and play. Is it all worth it? Another idol of mine has passed away. Numerous friends have had super close calls. At what point is enough really enough? But, it always comes back to the simple fact that I love skiing. After getting back from SIA, I was feeling less than stoked on skiing, taking the following week entirely off.
